As an essential business, Pacific BioLabs has remained open during the Shelter in Place order and continued delivering testing services to our clients. During this time, we have been supporting some of our clients in the fight against COVID-19. These clients are developing products and technologies that will be used in both prevention and detection of the virus such as therapeutics, devices, diagnostics and PPE.
PBL is conducting biocompatibility testing and exploratory animal studies on medical devices that will detect COVID-19. We are also testing PPE materials to certify them safe per USP Class VI. Additionally, we are currently performing microbial challenge studies to validate the efficacy of disinfection systems for N95 masks.
We feel proud that we have played a small role in helping our clients save the lives of patients and medical professionals during this global pandemic.
